karin chastain turner is an artist currently working out of statesboro, ga. turner grew up in charlottesville, va before moving to richmond, where she received a bachelor's in fine arts in photography and film with a double minor in fashion merchandising and media studies. while focusing mainly on portraiture, her images feature themes of loneliness, anxiety, escapism, and a desire for more. while experiencing the latter half of college through the unprecedented pandemic, her imagery invites viewers to leave the world behind for a moment. to do so, her work often includes warm light, close attention to detail, and intricate installations.
